The Narcís Vidal Trio was created in 1996, with the intention to develop their own language inspired in the world traditional music. The original compositions explore the origins of folklore, using the rhythmic treasures of many countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, North America, as well as Spain and Catalonia. This popular material is the base to create, from a jazz and modern point of view, the sonority of a trio formed by a guitar, a double bass and drums. The risky character of it, is shared by three musicians whose interaction and constant research are based on a common need of evolution and communication. |
